the nursery curriculum

We aim to provide a well-balanced, planned programme of activities tailored to each individual child by providing suitable equipment in safe, nurturing surroundings. This will encourage the child's natural curiosity and allow them the valuable opportunity to progress at their own pace in an educationally stimulating environment.

We work in full partnership with South Ayrshire Council to deliver the Scottish Governments' "Curriculum for Excellence" ensuring that all children have the opportunity to meet their developmental milestones before transitioning to P1.

how we promote learning

The first five years of a child's life encompass a complex period of rapid growth and development. The experiences which children have during these early years exert a powerful influence on their long-term development and, more immediately, on their future learning.

learning journals

All children have an individual profile, which staff update regularly with observations, stories and images/videos. Parents can also make contributions by uploading information and achievements outside of the nursery. Our learning journals bridge the gap between nursery and home life by allowing both parents and practitioners to monitor each child's development.
